Safeguarding

Safeguarding is Everyone’s Buisiness!

Forest Way School fully recognises the contribution it can make to protect children and support students in school. We aim to safeguard and promote our students’ welfare, safety and health by fostering an honest, open, caring and supportive climate environment. We encourage children to talk about their worries and to report their concerns to us. The students’ welfare is of paramount importance.

Who to Talk To

Students are encouraged to talk to any member of staff with whom they feel comfortable.

There are a number of key members of staff within the school whose responsibility to oversee safeguarding. These are:

Simon Roadley – Assistant Headteacher
Maisie Bunting – Assistant Headteacher
Leanne Larder – Assistant Headteacher

This is a useful link to the Bright Sky Wesbite which has infomraiton support for anyone experincing domestic abuse.  https://www.hestia.org/brightsky

What is Bright Sky?

Approximately one in five adults in the UK will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime. If you are concerned about domestic abuse or someone who may potentially be facing domestic abuse, we know it can be hard to find support. That’s why Bright Sky was developed. Bright Sky is a safe, easy to use the website and app that provides practical support and information on how to respond to domestic abuse.

You can read our Safeguarding Policy below.
